MEDIA CITY FILM FESTIVAL FEBRUARY 2020 EDITION DIVERTED TO UNDERTAKE NEW MODEL
After a lengthy process, Media City Film Festival was selected as the first Canadian organization to be named a Knight Arts Foundation Winner. This prize comes with the exciting opportunity of doubling our festival program in Windsor-Detroit to celebrate our 25th anniversary in November 2020.
In light of this news, we’ve had to make changes to our model and plans in 2020. * We will not be presenting a regular festival in February 2020.* In its place, MCFF will inaugurate a new fellowship series and associated programs to support the production of new films. Media City Film Festival will return to showcase a greatly expanded, cross-border edition in November 2020.
