ANGELIS NOVIS NETWORK
Rotating Congregation of Professionals from Canada and Around the World
About Angelis Novis Network
MCFF’s Angelis Novis Network is a rotating congregation of artists, curators, conservationists, funders, filmmakers, and other professionals from Ontario and around the world who convene online and in person throughout the year. The Network offers experimental development and industry activities to uplift filmmakers and adjacent communities in collaboration with museums, galleries, granting and distribution agencies, festivals, and other affinity groups and institutions internationally.
Angelis Novis will work collectively to identify and provide practical, hands-on, and actionable guidance and resources on topics such as mutual aid; forging lasting alliances with non-media arts organizations; methods for circulating artworks internationally; legal and financial supports, and more.
Angelis Novis is an innovative testing ground with a mandate to build local and global solidarity in especially challenging times. The Network will support cutting-edge cinematic artists, explore professional and alternative networking, and provide strategic resources through mentorship, training, project funding, and peer-to-peer support. Programs will include activities such as convening sessions, informal meetings, workshops, symposiums, pitch labs, and other industry activities, approached from unconventional, inclusive, and experimental perspectives. Activities will take place as both public gatherings and closed-door sessions.

Angelis Novis Network was founded to increase global connectivity and solidarity in especially challenging times. The Network is open to individuals, groups, collectives, and organizations in North America and around the world. We are gathering professionals from fields within and beyond media arts (e.g. grass-roots organizations and activists, legal, financial, health, and human services professionals). All are welcome. Projects and actions will be collectively directed and will occur on an ad hoc basis. Network members are invited to identify issues, needs, vision, and resources. To become a member, simply provide basic information in the form below. MCFF will contact members in June 2025, and onward on an “as needed” basis.
