Media City Film Festival is currently recruiting new board and committee members with interest and enthusiasm for moving image art.

The organization is planning exciting new projects in 2024-2025. As a new board member, you will play a key role in the governance and strategic direction of the organization at a very exciting time in our history. We are specifically looking for candidates from the Windsor-Detroit region but national and international candidates are also welcome.

Celebrated internationally as one of the most distinguished venues for the creation, exhibition, and dissemination of artists’ film and digital art worldwide, House of Toast Film & Video Collective (HoT) / Media City Film Festival (MCFF) is recognized as a significant, and globally influential platform for the advancement of artists’ moving image from Canada and around the world.

Established in 1994, HoT/MCFF has grown into a unique force in Canadian contemporary media arts culture, as the only film festival in the world operating on both sides of an international border: Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Detroit, Michigan, USA.

The organization presented its 26th edition in 2023. The festival has received more than 60,000 entries from 120+ nations on six continents, and has directly hosted and supported thousands of film and media artists, that have reached hundreds of thousands of audience members virtually and in person locally, nationally and internationally.

HoT/MCFF is a not-for-profit registered in Ontario with long-term core-funding from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council and other agencies. MCFF has also been funded by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Ontario Ministry of Culture, Ontario Trillium Foundation, and many other agencies. MCFF maintains 100+ ongoing partnerships around the world.
