MCFF Guest Services Coordinator (GSC)
Nature: $1,250 CAD stipend; full festival pass, letter of recommendation from Director / Board (upon request)
The Guest Services Coordinator works closely with the Artistic Director and Assistant Director to ensure that all festival guests have lodging and transportation. The GSC manages the following in consultation with MCFF’s Artistic Director and Assistant Director:

Artist and Guest packages,
-
Flight schedule / Driver schedule,
-
In-town hospitality (including local billets, hotel accommodations, and otherwise).
The Guest Services Coordinator also works in partnership with the Volunteer Coordinator to manage artists’ travel to and from the airport, and ensures that there are volunteers manning the guest table. Other admin. tasks may be applicable from time to time.
Position importance: The GSC is the “face” of the festival and the direct liaison with all international guests. This individual ensures that guests are comfortable, know where they’re staying and how they will get home. Most of all, the GSC makes sure everyone is having a good time. This position requires flexible hours and availability throughout the festival.

MCFF Volunteer Coordinator (VC)
Nature: $1,250 CAD stipend; full festival pass, letter of recommendation from Director / Board (upon request)
The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with the Board of Directors, Artistic Director and Assistant Director to recruit, schedule and manage all festival volunteers. The VC manages the following in consultation with the Artistic Director and Assistant Director:

Recruit volunteers and communicate with volunteer pool, staff and Board,
-
Manage volunteer meetings,
-
Devise scheduling of volunteers for all aspects of festival presentation and execution.
The Volunteer Coordinator also works in partnership with the Guest Services Coordinator to recruit drivers to manage artists’ travel to and from the airport. Other admin. tasks are applicable.
Public MCFF Volunteer Meetings take place every Monday night at Phog Lounge beginning October 2 through November 6, 2023.
Position importance: The VC is the direct liaison with all festival volunteers. This individual ensures that all areas requiring volunteers are covered, including tech, hospitality, marketing and promotional material distribution, ticket sales, etc. This position requires flexible hours and availability throughout the festival.

MCFF Distribution Coordinator (DC)
Nature: $500 CAD stipend; full festival pass, letter of recommendation from Director / Board (upon request)
The Distribution Coordinator works closely with the Board of Directors, Artistic Director, and Assistant Director to collect, organize and distribute printed festival promotional materials in the Windsor-Detroit area. This position requires a vehicle, a valid passport, an ability to cross the Windsor-Detroit border and a reasonable familiarity with the streetscape of both cities. The DC manages the following in consultation with the Artistic Director and Assistant Director:

Retrieve, organize and inventory all festival posters, rack cards and catalogues from the printers, the festival office, and other local distribution locations,

Distribute materials to businesses, cultural organizations and other venues in Windsor–Detroit,

Review, update and maintain an accurate database of the locations for promotional distribution, and the types and amounts of materials distributed.
The Distribution Coordinator also works in partnership with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit and direct volunteers to assist with postering and other material distribution.
Position importance: The DC is the primary means of delivering and disseminating the festival’s printed promotional materials to local venues and local audiences. The DC represents the Media City Film Festival to small businesses, arts organizations and other local venues that will accept and display these materials. This position requires flexible hours and availability up to the week of the festival.
