In preparing for Media City Film Festival this year, the health and safety of our guests and team has been a central concern of our planning throughout. Although many restrictions surrounding COVID-19 are no longer a legal requirement, we wish to create a culture that makes these events accessible and safe for all those who will join us together in person.
In line with these efforts, we ask that each person coming together to join the community of MCFF’s 26th edition do their part in creating an environment that is welcoming, safe, and inspiring to all by committing to the following agreement.
We ask all guests to commit to the following:
● Take a rapid test before your departure to the festival.
● Bring extra tests in your luggage.
● Understand that some guests may prefer to wear facemasks indoors or even outdoors, while others may prefer not to.
● Be mindful of the personal boundaries of other guests and staff, as different people have different comfort levels with closeness.
● Regularly wash your hands with soap and water, and bring your own hand sanitizer.
● Respect each others’ differences and realize that some disabilities can be invisible to others.
If during your stay, you develop symptoms of COVID-19 (a high temperature or chills; a new, continuous cough; a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste; shortness of breath; feeling tired or exhausted; an aching body; a headache; a sore throat; a blocked or runny nose; loss of appetite; diarrhea; nausea or vomiting) or otherwise feel at all unwell while attending the festival:
● Please take a test as soon as possible.
● If you test positive, notify MCFF staff.
● If needed, we will arrange transportation for you to the hospital.
The MCFF team is committed to supporting and upholding this agreement by:
● Being proactive and responsive to the concerns of any of our guests.
● Endeavoring in good faith to peacefully mediate any conflicts that may arise.
MCFF is looking forward to welcoming you to Windsor-Detroit. Thank you for your cooperation. Let us know if you have any questions.
