Media City Film Festival proudly announces the launch of its inaugural Chrysalis Fellowship. The Chrysalis Fellowship is a platform designed to support artists in the production of new films and related experimental forms, supporting adventurous moving image artists from across Canada and around the world. This new program will focus on commission and creation projects, exhibitions, publishing ventures and the dissemination of new work.
The Chrysalis Fellowship builds on Media City Film Festival’s successful activities in film production with previously commissioned works and creation projects featuring artists Ephram Asili, Kevin Jerome Everson, Daïchi Saïto, Julie Murray, Fern Silva, and many others.
The Chrysalis Fellowship will deepen Media City Film Festival’s relationships with artists and presenters worldwide. Collective work and mutual support are at the core of this new initiative. We’re thrilled to announce the first official fellows for 2019-2020. Additional artists will be added to the roster in 2020 periodically.
Media City Film Festival’s 2019/2020 Chrysalis Fellows:
• Ana Vaz (Brazil)
• Ryan Ferko (Canada)
• Nazli Dinçel (Turkey/USA)
