Media City 2017 Grand Prize winner and Mobile Frames Filmmaker in Residence, Ephraim Asili is presenting a live three-act performance at EMPAC this month. The evening will include a reading by legendary Philadelphia poet, activist, and scholar Sonia Sanchez, and scenes from Asili’s forthcoming feature The Inheritance.

Asili will be in Europe this winter premiering a new film at the Barbican (London) to coincide with the gallery’s Jean-Michel Basquiat retrospective. He will also be presenting his made in Windsor-Detroit film Fluid Frontiers at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
